Eight public meetings will be held in the next few weeks to discuss who should be the Cleveland School District's next chief executive officer.
Members of the Search Advisory Committee, which includes Cleveland school board members, say they want to hear citizen input.
CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett announced in August that she will leave when her replacement is hired, and the school board hired the Illinois-based search firm of Hazard, Young & Attea last week to begin finding candidates. Community meetings will be:

Wednesday, Nov. 16, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Murtis Taylor Center, 13422 Kinsman Road, and at Sagrada Familia, 7719 Detroit Ave.

Saturday, Nov. 19, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Pilgrim Church, 2592 West 14th St., and at Arbor Park Community, 3750 Fleming Ave.

Monday, Nov. 21, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Jergen's, 15700 S. Waterloo Road, and at the Boys and Girls Club, 6114 Broadway.

Sunday, Dec. 4, from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. at Mount Calvary Lutheran Church, 12826 Lorain Ave., and at the Lee-Harvard Community Center, 18240 Harvard Road.
