Help a student succeed! Be a tutor in the Saturday Tutoring Program, which provides free tutoring for students in grades 1-12 from school districts throughout Greater Cleveland. You can volunteer when it fits your schedule; an every-week commitment is not required. Sessions are held on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to noon at the Church of the Covenant (11205 Euclid Avenue) in University Circle. Come as an individual or with a group. Materials, training, supervision, and free parking are provided.
An orientation/ training session for tutors will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009, 10:00 a.m. to noon, at the Church of the Covenant. Qualifications: Must be at least 17 years old. Need desire and patience to help youngsters succeed, familiarity with subject to be taught, and ability to convey ideas clearly in fluent written and spoken English.
